We are building a new house about 5 miles away and took the first pictures this weekend. John is building it and we are taking our time to finish it because our house is taking so long to sell. We are hoping to move in by late winter/ early spring 2009. We are so excited and can't wait! I am very blessed to have such a talented husband..... or at least I hope he is talented. Just kidding! It will be awesome! There are a lot of young families in the neighborhood with young children. It will be a wonderful place for Davis to make friends and grow up!

Our New House

Lights, Camera, Action
Here are a few videos and pics from the past month. Like I said, things have been so hectic since I have been back at work so sorry for the lag in time. Enjoy!
I have told many of you how relaxed Davis gets in his swing.... well that may be an understatement. Thank goodness for the seat belt is all I can say. He is an absolute limp noodle and usually it only takes 15 minutes of rocking for him to begin his "meditation" :-)
Big boy trying to help daddy on his computer. (Ignore the couch, hahaha, slipcovers in the washing machine.)We bought Davis a Johnny Jumper because he is always crawling out of his skin. We figured this would be one more outlet for energy release. He loves it. While he hasn't quite figured out how to jump, he still likes to sit and swing and push off from the floor in it.
This was just a random morning on the couch. Davis is such a happy baby. The only time he gets fussy is when he is sleepy or hungry. He is just like his daddy!
I happened to catch this kodak moment one afternoon. The stars on his swing have been there the entire time, but for some reason he was enthralled with them this night. Too cute!

Mommy Back to Work = No Time to Blog :-(
Well, I am officially back at work.... well, kind of. I am working a partial schedule until my maternity period is up so right now I am just working Tuesdays through Thursdays. I will continue this schedule for the next couple of months. Beth is keeping Davis which is such a blessing because I have absolutely no worries when I leave him. The hardest part has just been prioritizing chores and time management. Now I completely understand what people mean when they say not to worry about the little things. So, for the last 2 weeks I have done laundry, but not actually put it up and John and I just kick the dog hair to the corners... jk. Seriously though, when I get home from work, all I want to do is snuggle with my little man.
Davis is growing so fast! We have our 4 month check up this coming Friday so I will update everyone on how much he weighs and how tall he is. I am betting he is at least 19 pounds and judging from how his body is hanging off the swing right now, he is off the charts on height. He is in no way fat, he is just long and has little chubby thighs. I could eat them up :-) He is consistently rolling over from tummy to back and is getting more consistent with rolling from back to tummy. He is still trying to crawl, he just looks like a little inch worm right now. It is hysterical! He absolutely loves to stand and when I hold him on my lap, I almost have to "warm up" because my arms get so tired from steadying him upright :-) He is also getting stronger with sitting up on his own. His little ab muscles are so strong it absolutely amazes me! And lastly, Davis is truly his mother's son! Talk about a blabber mouth! He talks all the time.... of course he has no idea what he is saying, but it is neat to watch him try to form new sounds. He really acts as if he has something so important to say. When he is not talking he is giggling
I guess that is really all. I am charging my camera right now so I can download some pictures and will try to get them posted tonight. Take care!

My first stay away from home!
My grandmommy and papaw were dying to spend some one on one time with me, so mommy and daddy decided to take a long weekend away. We spent all day packing for the big weekend and almost had to rent a UHaul because I have so much stuff. Eventually we shoved everything into the car and then we were off! When we got to Decatur, my grandmommy had bought me so many fun things... we could have left all my stuff at home. She is going to send mom some more pictures from the weekend but for now, we just wanted to share a few. While I was away at their house, I learned how to sleep through the night!!!! Thank you grandmommy and papaw! It is really cool now to go to bed at 10 and sleep till 6... mom and daddy are so happy too!!!

My first lunch date!
Angie Nelson is a friend of mom's from work. She just had a baby girl a little over 2 weeks ago and guess what? We are going to be neighbors! They live directly across the street from where mom and dad are building our new house. Adyson and I are going to have so much fun playing and growing up together! This was our first lunch date. She is so precious and so little!!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Brown's Visit
Grandma and Grandpa Brown came to see me this week! They come every year about twice a year and stay at a condo on the beach for nearly 2 weeks. They have so much fun watching the dolphins, relaxing on the beach, reading and going to eat at all of Destin's wonderful restaurants. This time though, they had something more fun to do.... Play with ME!!! They came to see me a bunch and mommy brought me by the condo one day so she could get her toenails painted. I had so much fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa. We sang and laughed so much! I giggled at my grandpa and he thought I was the cutest thing in the world. I am sad that they have to go back to Knoxville, but they will be back in August! So I will count the days until I get to play, cuddle and show off for them next time! Here are some pictures of their visit.
